Description

Letterpress Cards by Dave Foster

Australian graphic designer Dave Foster graduated from Swinburne University of Technology in Victoria. He won the Design NSW Travelling Scholarship in 2011, which allowed him to study at the Royal Academy of art in the Netherlands. You can visit his portfolio website at http://info.davethedesigner.net/ and read about the impressive awards his design efforts have won.

Dave created 4 new designs for Holstee, each again featuring a different line from the Holstee Manifesto. These cards, all individually hand-rolled through a letterpress machine, are printed on Holstee’s new greeting card paper – 100% recycled cotton scraps from the textile industry.

By overlapping both blue and red ink in the print, a third shade is naturally developed adding depth to Foster’s thoughtful, quirky design.

  • Cards are 5″ x 7″ and come with 100% recycled kraft paper envelopes.
  • Each pack comes with 4 cards (1 of each design) and 4 envelopes.
  • Insides of cards are blank, making them an open canvas for any occasion.

Texts:

  • Do what you love and do it often
  • Some opportunities only come once
  • Getting lost will help you find yourself
  • Life is about the people you meet
